Seamless Middle East 2025 a Spectacular Success! Arab Federation for Digital Economy (China) Officially Announced!
The 'Seamless Middle East 2025' expo, grandly organized by the Arab Federation for Digital Economy (AFDE), opened brilliantly at the Dubai World Trade Centre on May 20th! The Seamless Middle East expo is the largest digital economy gathering in the Middle East and North Africa region, focusing on innovation and development in e-commerce, fintech, identity governance, payments, logistics, and more. Based on exhibitions and forums, the expo provides a platform for global industry leaders, government officials, corporate executives, and innovators to exchange ideas and collaborate, jointly exploring the latest trends, technological breakthroughs, and business opportunities in the digital economy. This three-day digital technology extravaganza set a historic record right from the start – exceeding 30,000 attendees, including exhibitors, professional visitors, and industry leaders from 132 countries and regions worldwide, reaffirming the UAE's global appeal as the Middle East's digital hub!
On May 20th, His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the UAE, personally attended the opening ceremony. Also present were over 30 distinguished guests from the Middle East region, including: Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Prince Mishal of the Saudi Royal Family, Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Qatar, Sheikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications of Bahrain, Mohammed Ahmed Al-Aboudi, Secretary-General of the Arab Economic Unity Council, Dr. Ali Al Khouri, Chairman of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy.
Representing China as an invited guest, Chen Jie, Executive Vice Mayor of Guangzhou, led a delegation to the opening ceremony. He delivered a keynote speech and held a closed-door meeting with His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
In his speech, Executive Vice Mayor Chen Jie stated: 'Both Guangzhou and Dubai are regional trade hubs, standing at the new starting point of digital civilization. Guangzhou will deepen its strategic partnership with the Arab Federation for Digital Economy (China). We are accelerating the establishment of the 'UAE-Guangzhou Digital Economy Cooperation Fund' to drive new progress and achievements in jointly building the Digital Silk Road.'

Witnessed by His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the UAE, and other distinguished guests, the opening ceremony featured the AFDE's delighted announcement of the 'Arab Federation for Digital Economy 2025-2030 Strategy' and the official establishment of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy China Representative Office! This initiative aims to support the implementation of projects and measures under the framework of the 'Arab Vision for the Digital Economy.' This vision was adopted at the Arab Summit held in Algeria in 2022 and is supported by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
